- Where we left Off: Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) ended her affair with the president (Tony Goldwyn) a.k.a. Fitz, but not before someone snitched about it to the media. And viewers discovered Rowan (Joe Morton) is Olivia’s father!
- Cleanup: The White House is in “crisis mode, trying to find out who leaked Olivia’s name,” says exec producer Betsy Beers. Fitz also has a choice. “Will he try to survive this? Or will he walk away from the presidency?” asks Goldwyn.
- Family matters: “We learn much more about the dynamic” between Olivia and dear old Dad, says Beers.
- Can of worms: Quinn (Katie Lowes) “is on a high” after torturing Billy (Matt Letscher), says Beers. Huck (Guillermo Diaz) “will be dealing with her new taste for the dark side.”
- Diaz says Huck “created a monster” in Quinn (Lowes).

Olivia Pope Fashion in Episode 2.08: Happy Birthday, Mr. President
For Fitz’s Inauguration Day, Olivia wore a white Michael Kors black lace-trimmed dress which you can get over at Harrods. Scandal’s costume Lyn Paolo has done it again! This look is fantastic!

Much anticipation has been on WHICH top designer Olivia Pope will rock next on Scandal. For Defiance episode 7 of season 2 Lyn Paolo and Kerry Washington fell in love with a strapless vintage number.
Let’s take a brief look back at the last time Olivia Pope dressed up for a big White House ball. Remember this look from Hell Hath No Fury? Fitz took one look at Olivia and he knew they had to meet at the secret spot – the Rose Garden. The dress is made by Franciso Costa for Calvin Klein!
